Foundations of Design-based Research in Educational Settings
This course introduces design-based research methodology for Master's and PhD students conducting educational research in school settings. The materials support thesis work at the intersection of educational innovation and evidence-based practice. The course materials are in German with English and Italian subtitles available.
Target audiences: Master's and PhD students writing a thesis using design-based research approaches, particularly those interested in supervision.
Learning Outcomes
- Identify research-worthy problems in educational practice and formulate research questions
- Develop theory-based design principles for educational interventions
- Plan and conduct DBR cycles including data collection and analysis (quantitative, qualitative or mixed methods)
- Present research findings through academic posters and publications
How to use
Watch videos sequentially. Each video corresponds to a chapter in the downloadable course handout. Complete reflection questions before proceeding to the next section.

Descrizione (Italiano)
